St. Mark's Church

This Gothic and Romanesque parish church is one of the oldest architectural monuments, with records of its inception dating to 1201. It is designated as a cultural heritage site and serves as a significant example of medieval architecture.

The most recognizable feature is the roof of glazed tiles, which depicts the coat of arms of the city and the Triune Kingdom of Croatia, Slavonia, and Dalmatia. The building's southern side also features a rich Gothic portal, noted for its intricate historical design.

The interior houses works by the renowned 20th-century Croatian sculptor Ivan Meštrović. As an active Roman Catholic place of worship, the building continues to serve as a central religious institution and a notable landmark for history and photography.
