Bečov Castle and Chateau

This national monument consists of a uniquely preserved medieval Gothic castle, a Renaissance palace, and a lower Baroque chateau. The site showcases a diverse range of architectural styles and historical layers, reflecting its development over several centuries.

The complex houses the reliquary of St. Maurus, a priceless Romanesque shrine and one of the most significant goldsmithing works in the Czech Republic. This artifact is the centerpiece of the site's permanent collections.

Various tours are available to explore the historical interiors and exhibitions focusing on the lives of the Beaufort-Spontin family. These tours provide insight into the architectural history and the preservation of the medieval and baroque structures.
