Artscape Nordland

This international art project consists of a collection of 36 permanent contemporary sculptures installed across various municipalities. Established between 1992 and 1998, the initiative features site-specific works created by artists from 20 different countries. The project emphasizes the harmony between modern art and the surrounding landscape, placing artworks in diverse natural settings.

The collection includes pieces by both Norwegian and internationally renowned artists. These outdoor installations are designed to bring contemporary art to local communities, particularly in sparsely populated areas. The sculptures are integrated into their environments to highlight the relationship between the artwork, design, architecture, and nature.

The various sites are open to the public and provide a permanent outdoor exhibition. The project was initiated in 1992 and spans numerous locations, with sculptures placed in diverse environments to emphasize the interaction between art and the surrounding natural landscape.
