Jurkovič Observation Tower

This 31-meter-tall wooden observation tower was constructed according to original 1896 sketches by the architect Dušan Jurkovič. Although designed in the late 19th century, the structure was completed in 2011. It is a significant architectural landmark characterized by its folk art nouveau style, which integrates traditional regional building techniques.

The tower stands on Karlův kopec, positioned above an open-air museum. The site provides panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, including the Radhošť massif and the town center.

The structure is built primarily of wood, reflecting historical architectural traditions. It is open to the public, offering a vantage point over the Valašsko region and the Beskydy mountains.
