Rear Synagogue

Constructed around 1669, this Renaissance building is a central part of the local UNESCO World Heritage Jewish Quarter. The interior is defined by a Baroque stucco ceiling and a series of original Baroque wall paintings dating from the early 18th century, which depict biblical scenes. Although it originally served as a place of worship, it is now a protected cultural monument used for exhibitions and concerts.

The building houses a museum dedicated to Jewish culture and history. A primary highlight is a detailed 1:100 scale model representing the Jewish Quarter as it appeared in 1850. The permanent exhibitions include collections of Jewish ceremonial objects and displays on the history of the local Jewish community, featuring items from the Jewish Museum in Prague.

The site is open to the public and functions as a tourist information center. In addition to its role as a museum, the space is utilized as a concert and exhibition hall. The facility is wheelchair accessible.
