The Loggia del Mercato Nuovo is a historic Renaissance architectural structure designed by Giovanni Battista del Tasso and completed in 1551. It features an open arcade style typical of a loggia and is famous for the bronze wild boar fountain, commonly called the Porcellino. The building has served as a marketplace primarily for leather goods and souvenirs, maintaining its commercial function through centuries.
