Cipressa is a comune in the Province of Imperia in the Italian region Liguria, located about 100 kilometres southwest of Genoa and about 9 kilometres southwest of Imperia. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,183 and an area of 9.5 square kilometres.Cipressa borders the following municipalities: Civezza, Costarainera, Pietrabruna, Pompeiana, San Lorenzo al Mare, Santo Stefano al Mare, and Terzorio. Its frazione of Lingueglietta is a member of the I Borghi più belli d'Italia association.
