Olomouc Zoo

Established in 1952, this zoological garden covers 42.5 hectares and hosts a diverse collection of exotic and native species. It includes themed pavilions and safari areas that showcase animals in naturalistic settings. The zoo participates in international breeding programs and plays a significant role in wildlife conservation, notably as one of the largest European breeders of South African Gemsbok and the keeper of the stud book for the East Caucasian tur. Educational and recreational activities complement the zoological exhibits, making the site accessible to the public for exploration and learning.
