Nigatsu Hall

Local name二月堂
LocationNara, Japan

Founded as early as in the 8th century, this important religious structure overlooks the city of Nara. Its name, meaning The Hall of the Second Month, reflects the temple's annual ceremony which is held during the second month of the lunar calendar. Definitely worth visiting for the aerial view you get from the temple's grounds.

To access it, you will have to climb about 70 steps.
