Iconic Views & Landmarks

Benidorm’s coastline is marked by strategic heights and historical fortifications. This selection includes the 1st-century BC Roman archaeological site at Tossal de la Cala and the 14th-century fortress foundations at Punta Canfali. It features 16th-century defensive structures like Torre de les Caletes and Torre Morales, built to guard against pirate raids. These sites offer vantage points ranging from the high-altitude cliffs of Sierra Helada at Mirador de la Cruz to the central rocky outcrop separating the city’s two main beaches.

Punta Canfali

Rocky promontory separating Levante and Poniente beaches. Site of the former 14th-century castle and the Balcón del Mediterráneo, featuring distinctive white stone balustrades and views across the Mediterranean.

Tossal de la Cala

Hilltop archaeological site containing the ruins of a 1st-century BC Roman fort. Located at the western end of Poniente beach, it provides views over the bay and the city's modern skyline.

Mirador de la Cruz

High-altitude viewpoint at the peak of Sierra Helada, marked by a large wooden cross. It offers panoramic views of Benidorm's skyscrapers and the coastline from a height of approximately 438 meters.

Torre de les Caletes

Ruins of a 16th-century circular defensive tower situated on the cliffs of Sierra Helada Natural Park. Historically used to monitor the coast for pirate activity, it is accessible via a coastal hiking path.

Torre Morales

A 16th-century square watchtower, also known as Torre de les Escaletes. It was part of the regional coastal defense system designed to protect the population from corsair raids.
