The Great St Bernard Pass serves as a significant transit route between Switzerland and Italy, reaching an elevation of 2,469 meters. Peaks such as the Eggishorn provide vantage points over the Great Aletsch Glacier, while the Antronapass connects the Saas Valley with Italy via a 2,838-meter saddle.
