Death Valley Camping

Death Valley National Park offers camping options ranging from full-service sites at Furnace Creek to primitive dry camps in remote corners like Eureka Dunes. Established campgrounds like Stovepipe Wells and Mesquite Spring provide essential amenities, while high-elevation spots like Wildrose offer cooler temperatures. These sites serve as basecamps for exploring the park’s salt flats, sand dunes, and rugged mountain ranges, with several locations operating on a first-come, first-served basis.

Furnace Creek Campground

Located 196 feet below sea level near the Visitor Center. Features 136 sites with drinking water, flush toilets, and a dump station.

Stovepipe Wells RV Park

Private facility offering 14 full-hookup sites. Guests have access to the nearby hotel's swimming pool and Wi-Fi for an additional fee.

Panamint Springs Resort RV Campground

Private campground on the park's western edge featuring full hookups and views of the Panamint Valley.

Panamint Springs Camping & RV

Offers tent and RV sites with access to showers, a general store, and a restaurant.

Stovepipe Wells

National Park Service campground with 190 sites near the Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes. Includes flush toilets and water.

Homestake Dry Camp

Primitive, free camping area located at the southern end of Racetrack Road. Requires a high-clearance vehicle for access.

Wildrose Campground

Free campground at 4,100 feet elevation with 23 sites. Provides pit toilets and tables; open year-round.

Russell Camp

Remote backcountry camping area located in the southern section of the park.

Emigrant Campground

Free, tent-only campground at 2,100 feet elevation. Features 10 sites with flush toilets and water.

Eureka Dunes Dry Camp

Primitive camping at the base of California's highest sand dunes. No water provided; high-clearance vehicles recommended.

Stove Pipe Wells

Seasonal National Park Service campground open from October to April. Offers basic facilities near the sand dunes.

Mesquite Spring Campground

Located at 1,800 feet near Ubehebe Crater. Includes 30 sites with flush toilets, water, and a dump station.
