Ein Kerem Essentials

Nestled in the Judean Hills, Ein Kerem is a historic village and spiritual hub west of Jerusalem. This list encompasses the area's dual significance: its Christian heritage, featuring the Church of the Visitation and St. John in the Mountains, and its role in modern Israeli history. It includes the national memorial sites of Mount Herzl and Yad Vashem, alongside the final resting places of leaders like Yitzhak Rabin and Golda Meir. The neighborhood's winding alleys lead to Mary's Spring and the striking domes of the Gornensky Russian Orthodox Convent.
