Konjic bridges the historical gap between the Middle Ages and the Cold War. This selection highlights the ARK D-0 nuclear bunker, a massive underground facility built for Yugoslavia's leadership, alongside the UNESCO-recognized woodcarving tradition displayed at local museums. The region is also home to a dense concentration of medieval stećak necropolises, including sites like Bare-Krstac and Vrbljani, which preserve unique Bosnian funerary art and stone carvings from the 14th and 15th centuries.

ARK D-0 (Tito's Bunker)

Constructed secretly between 1953 and 1979, this 6,500-square-meter nuclear shelter lies 280 meters underground. Designed to safeguard 350 members of the Yugoslav elite, it now serves as a contemporary art venue.
