Kumamoto Viewpoints

Kumamoto's diverse topography offers a range of vantage points, from the dramatic volcanic landscapes of the Aso caldera to the intricate coastlines of the Amakusa archipelago. This selection includes the UNESCO-listed Misumi West Port, the unique tidal sand patterns of Okoshiki Coast, and the panoramic views from Mt. Kuratake. Visitors can observe active craters at Kusasenri, explore the primeval forests of the caldera rim, or watch the sunset over the East China Sea from historic seaside hot spring districts.

鍋ヶ滝

A 20-meter wide waterfall famous for a cavernous space behind the water flow that allows visitors to walk behind the falls.

Shiroyama Lookout
