Bala Lake Essentials

Llyn Tegid, or Bala Lake, is the largest natural body of water in Wales, formed by glacial activity and fed by the River Dee. This collection highlights the heritage Bala Lake Railway with stations at Llanuwchllyn and Llangower, alongside the Grade II listed Caer Gai Roman fort. Outdoor opportunities range from hiking the summit of Moel y Garnedd to water sports on the lake's four-mile expanse, all set within the dramatic landscape of the Snowdonia National Park.
