Historic Churches

Locarno’s religious architecture spans from the 11th-century Romanesque style of San Vittore in Muralto to the 17th-century Baroque details of Santa Maria Assunta. The collection is anchored by the Sanctuary of the Madonna del Sasso, a significant pilgrimage site perched above the city in Orselina.
