Beautiful Beaches
Morro de São Paulo’s beaches are numbered sequentially starting from the village center. Primeira Praia serves as the landing point for the lighthouse zip line and a hub for surfing. Segunda Praia is the island's primary social area with beachfront dining, while Terceira Praia acts as the main departure point for boat excursions. Further south, the expansive Quarta Praia is characterized by its shallow natural pools formed by coral reefs. Nearby, the Paredão da Argila features cliffs of pink clay used for traditional skin treatments.
Terceira Praia
The primary departure point for boat excursions to Boipeba and neighboring islands. This narrow stretch of sand is lined with guesthouses and offers views of the Ilha da Saudade coral formations.
Primeira Praia
The closest beach to the village center and the landing site for the 70-meter high zip line originating from the Farol do Morro. It is the only beach in the area suitable for surfing.
Quarta Praia
The longest beach on the island, spanning several kilometers. At low tide, the barrier reefs create large natural pools filled with small fish, making it a key location for snorkeling in shallow waters.
Segunda Praia
The center of the island's social life, featuring a wide sandy shore used for beach volleyball and soccer. It is lined with restaurants and bars that host live music and evening events.
Paredão da Argila
Natural cliffs composed of pink clay located along the coast toward Gamboa. The clay is traditionally used by visitors as a natural skin exfoliant before bathing in the sea.
