Saigang Essentials
Sagaing serves as a major religious and historical center on the Irrawaddy River, housing significant Buddhist monuments and ruins of former royal capitals. A Hsinbyume Paya (Mya Thein Tan Pagoda)

B Laykyun Sekkya
The Laykyun Sekkya Buddha is, as of 2018, the third-tallest statue in the world at 116 metres.

Bronze bell weighing 90 tons, cast in 1808 for the nearby unfinished pagoda. It is one of the largest functioning bells in the world.
H Mae Nu Oak Kyaung
A 19th-century monastery built of brick and stucco to resemble traditional wooden architecture. It was commissioned by Queen Me Nu in 1818.
