Cultural Heritage Highlights

Spilberk Castle

Historic castle and former fortress with over 700 years of history, now serving as a museum and cultural venue. Notable for its medieval origins, military significance, and architectural styles spanning Gothic and Baroque periods.

St Thomas's Abbey

St Thomas's Abbey is a historic Augustinian monastery featuring Gothic, Baroque, and Neoclassical architecture. It houses a museum dedicated to Gregor Mendel and serves as a cultural and religious site.

Minaret

Built around the year 1800, the minaret now serves as an outlook tower and makes an excellent walk destination from Chateau Lednice.

(Battle of Austerlitz) Cairn of Peace Memorial

Monument commemorating the fallen in the Battle of Austerlitz featuring statues and a chapel with an ossuary. It is a significant historical and cultural site with a museum and historical sculptures.

Villa of Dušan Jurkovič

Finished in 1909, this villa belongs to most important secession sights in Brno. Build by architect Dušan Jurkovič as his own house.

Kuželov
