Herberton Historic Village

An open-air museum featuring over 60 restored original buildings from the 19th century, including a blacksmith shop, pharmacy, and school. The 16-acre site displays vintage machinery, antique vehicles, and historical fashion.

Hou Wang Temple

Constructed in 1903, this is the last remaining timber and iron Chinese temple in Queensland. Dedicated to the commander Yang Liang Jie, it contains original ornate carvings and artifacts from the former Atherton Chinatown.

Rocky Creek Military Memorial

Located on the site of the former Rocky Creek Australian General Hospital, which treated over 60,000 patients during WWII. The memorial park contains hundreds of plaques honoring various military units and personnel.

Herberton Mining Museum

Situated on the original Great Northern Mine site, this museum documents the region’s tin mining history. It houses extensive mineral collections, working machinery, and archives detailing the 1880 discovery that founded the town.

Located in Millaa Millaa, this museum preserves the pioneer history of the Eacham Shire. Exhibits focus on the early timber and dairy industries through historical photographs, household items, and local settlers' artifacts.
