Stunning Waterfalls
This collection highlights natural cascades across Trinidad and Tobago, ranging from the deep emerald swimming hole of Rio Seco to the multi-tiered Highland Waterfall in Tobago. While Blue Basin Falls offers a pool surrounded by fern-lined cliffs near Diego Martin, the secluded Paria Waterfall requires a coastal hike from Blanchisseuse. Rainbowfalls is noted for light refraction in its mist, and Balandra features a series of accessible basins. Paria Waterfall
One of the more secluded waterfalls. The way here might be quite a hike, but the sight of the breath-taking waterfall is a great reward.
Highland Waterfall
A multi-tiered cascade located near Moriah in Tobago. The site is accessible via a rainforest trail and features several deep pools suitable for swimming.
Rio Seco Waterfall
Features a wide, deep emerald-green pool. Reached by a 30- to 45-minute trail through the Matura National Park, this is one of the most accessible waterfalls in Trinidad for swimming.
Rainbowfalls
Situated along the Goldsborough River in Tobago. The waterfall is named for the rainbows frequently visible in the spray and requires a hike through a former cocoa estate.
Balandra Waterfall
A series of small sandstone tiers and shallow basins located on Trinidad’s northeast coast. The trail follows a riverbed and is generally a short, easy hike.
Blue Basin Falls
Located in the Diego Martin valley, this waterfall drops into a pool surrounded by steep, fern-covered rock walls. It is one of the oldest recorded natural attractions in Trinidad.
