Xi’an’s historical landscape is defined by its preservation of Tang and Ming dynasty structures. This collection features the central Bell and Drum Towers, which signaled the city's daily rhythms for centuries, and the Big and Small Wild Goose Pagodas, built to house sacred Buddhist scriptures. The list also includes the expansive Daming Palace heritage site and key sections of the fortification system, such as the Hanguang Gate, which reveals the city’s original Sui and Tang dynasty foundations.

Daming Palace National Heritage Park

The imperial palace complex of the Tang Dynasty, serving as the royal residence for over 220 years. The heritage park preserves archaeological ruins, including the foundations of Hanyuan Hall and the reconstructed Danfeng Gate.

Xiao yan ta (Small Wild Goose Pagoda)
