Nature & Scenic Views

Yogyakarta’s natural landscape is defined by the limestone karst of Gunung Kidul and the volcanic ridges of the Menoreh Hills. This collection spans the vertical collapse cave of Jomblang, where an ancient underground forest grows 60 meters below the surface, to the tiered turquoise pools of Kedung Pedut. The southern coastline features a diverse geography, including the volcanic sands of Parangtritis, the coral reefs of Kukup, and the ancient volcanic bay of Wedi Ombo. Elevated viewpoints like Mangunan offer vistas of the winding Oyo River valley.
