Palazzo Borromeo

Palazzo Borromeo is a 17th-century monumental residence representing centuries of architectural evolution and Baroque grandeur. Managed by Terre Borromeo, the palace is famous for its elaborate architecture and integration with a spectacular 10-terrace garden. The structure serves as a major cultural destination associated with the Borromeo family's historical estates.

The interior contains over 20 rooms open to the public, including the Throne Room, the Hall of Music, and the Gallery of Tapestries. A unique feature is the Grotto Apartment, which consists of rooms decorated in a grotto style on the ground floor. One specific room is noted for having hosted Napoleon. The palace houses extensive art collections, including Flemish tapestries and masterpieces by artists such as Raphael, Tiziano, and Guido Reni.

The grounds feature elaborate Italian-style gardens and botanical collections. These gardens are arranged across ten terraces and are intricately linked with the palace's design. The site is a designated Cultural Heritage Site and functions as both an art and religious museum.
