A house of worship for the Sikh religion and one of New Delhi's architectural jewels. It is believed that the eighth Sikh Guru cured the people infected with smallpox here. He used water from a water tank which still exists in the complex and that is why this water is often taken by the visiting Sikhs who believed in its healing power.
Please note that you need to have your head covered if you want to visit the gurudwara and that you also have to remove your shoes before you enter.
