New Town Hall

A true Neo-Gothic masterpiece and a breathtaking sight. Note its richly decorated facade showing the Wittelsbach dynasty.

Its observation deck offers marvellous views of the city and Marienplatz, it's a must-see even if you aren't into architecture. Although most of the building is used as an office space, there is a tourist information board and a restaurant on the ground floor and in the basement.

Its location is perfect for when you want to spend a nice afternoon outside, thanks to the many cafes, restaurants and shops located nearby. You can get here by bus (station Marienplatz), or by metro, which is about a 12-minute walk away (station Karlsplatz, lines U4 and U5).
