A wonderful park that is occupied especially on weekends when Tokyo's citizens come out and mingle here. The area used to be the Olympic Village during the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. It is one of the city's largest parks, featuring several ponds and forested areas. Even though this park has relatively few sakuras in comparison with other parks in the city, it is still lovely to stroll here and see the nice cherries blossoming in spring. Grab a blanket, a beer and some friends and enjoy one afternoon here.
The nearest metro station is Harajuku (JR Yamanote Line).
Free admission.
