Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden

Local name新宿御苑
LocationTokyo, Japan

A charming garden that features three different gardening styles and a picturesque pond, but mainly is home to hundreds of cherry trees, known as sakuras, and thus a favourite spot for cherry blossom viewing. It is also quite a popular spot during the chrysanthemum season. Apart from that, there are thousands of diverse plants; simply a true nature lover's delight.

Inhabited by a royal family during the Edo period, this park became very popular for tourists and locals alike. If you want, you can look for the traditional Japanese teahouse that is somewhere in the area. You can get here by train, the nearest train station is Yoyogi Station.
