Fernando de Noronha’s landscape is defined by its volcanic geology, featuring phonolitic peaks and steep coastal cliffs. This selection includes the archipelago's highest point at Morro do Pico and the iconic twin formations of Morro Dois Irmãos. Historic structures like the 18th-century Forte do Bodró and the Farol da Sapata offer strategic vantage points over the Atlantic, while dedicated lookouts at Baía dos Golfinhos and Sueste provide opportunities to observe spinner dolphins and sea turtles in their natural habitats.

Morro Dois Irmãos

Iconic twin volcanic rock formations emerging from the waters of Baía dos Porcos. These basaltic structures are the most recognizable geological landmarks in the archipelago.

Morro do Pico

The highest point in Fernando de Noronha, standing 323 meters tall. This phonolitic rock plug is a geological remnant of the island's volcanic origin.

Morro do Francês

A prominent volcanic hill located near the Port of Santo Antônio, offering views of the secondary islands and the northern coastline.

Forte do Bodró

Ruins of a colonial-era fortification built in the 18th century. It serves as an elevated viewpoint overlooking the beaches of Cacimba do Padre and Dois Irmãos.

Baia dos Golfinhos

A high cliffside vantage point overlooking a protected marine sanctuary. It is the primary location for observing the morning arrival of spinner dolphins.

Praia do Leão

Elevated lookout providing a panoramic view of the Ilha do Leão and Ilha do Morro da Viúva. The area below is a significant nesting site for green sea turtles.

Praia Sancho 05

A cliff-top observation point within the National Marine Park. It offers a direct vertical view of the white sands and coral reefs of Baía do Sancho.

Mirante da Baia do Sueste

Strategic viewpoint overlooking Sueste Bay. This area is a protected feeding ground where sea turtles and lemon sharks are often visible from the heights.

Farol da Sapata

An automated lighthouse situated on the rugged western tip of the island. The surrounding cliffs feature the Pedra Furada, a natural rock arch carved by erosion.

Ilha Rata

The second-largest island of the archipelago, featuring a naval lighthouse. It serves as a major nesting site for several species of migratory seabirds.
