Küre Mountains National Park Essentials

Küre Mountains National Park, a designated WWF 'Gift to the Earth,' showcases Turkey's premier karst landscapes. This selection features the 800-meter-deep Valla Canyon, the 3-kilometer suspended wooden walkway through Horma Canyon, and the Çatak glass observation deck. It also includes the Ilgarini Cave, which houses Byzantine-era archaeological remains, and the Ulukaya Waterfall. These sites highlight the park's dramatic topography of deep canyons, ancient caves, and dense deciduous forests within the Black Sea region.

Valla Canyon Terrace

Observation deck overlooking one of the world's deepest canyons, reaching depths of approximately 800 meters. The terrace provides panoramic views of the rugged karst cliffs and the Devrekani Stream.

Horma canyon

A 3-kilometer-long wooden walkway suspended along the canyon walls above the Zara Stream. The path leads through narrow rock formations and connects directly to the Ilıca Waterfall.

Catak Kanyonu Cam Teras

A glass-bottomed observation deck situated 450 meters above the canyon floor, offering vertical views of the Çatak Canyon's limestone formations and the surrounding mountain landscape.

Ilgarini Cave

One of the world’s largest caves, featuring a depth of 250 meters. The site contains significant archaeological remains, including Byzantine-era chapels, cisterns, and tombs within its chambers.

Ulukaya Şelalesi

A 20-meter-high waterfall that emerges from a natural cave opening in a limestone cliff face before flowing into the Ulus Stream.
