Terchová

Peaks and Trails of Terchová

This collection features the most prominent natural landmarks of the Malá Fatra National Park, centered around the village of Terchová. It includes the dramatic limestone canyons of Jánošíkove Diery, accessible via a system of steel ladders and bridges, and the distinctive dolomite peaks of Veľký and Malý Rozsutec. The list also covers the main ridge highlights, such as Veľký Kriváň, the range's highest point at 1,709 meters, and the Terchovské srdce observation tower, which offers views over the Varínka river valley.

Jánošíkove Diery

Janosikove Diery or simply 'Holes' is a nice and quite non-challenging hike through canyons and narrow rocky paths.

Veľký Rozsutec

Velky Rozsutec, 'Big Rozsutec', is the highest peak (1610 m.a.s.l.) of Mala Fatra mountain range.

Terchovské srdce

A 30-meter-high pyramid-shaped observation tower on Oblaz hill. It features three viewing platforms overlooking the village of Terchová and the Malá Fatra mountain range.

Veľký Kriváň

Veľký Kriváň is the highest mountain in the Lesser Fatra mountain range in Western Carpathians in Slovakia.

Chleb

The third-highest peak of the Malá Fatra range at 1,646 meters. Located on the main ridge, it is accessible via a cable car from the Vrátna valley to Snilovské sedlo.

Malý Rozsutec

A 1,344-meter dolomite peak known for its steep rocky walls. It forms a prominent silhouette in the eastern part of the Krivánska Malá Fatra.

Stoh

A massive 1,607-meter conical mountain with treeless, grassy slopes. It sits on the main ridge trail between the Poludňový grúň and Veľký Rozsutec peaks.
