Hot Spring Colonnade

The Vřídelní kolonáda is a functionalist and brutalist structure completed in 1975 using glass and reinforced concrete. It houses the Vřídlo geyser, the city's most famous thermal spring, which erupts within a dedicated pavilion to a height of up to 12 meters. The facility serves as a central hub for the traditional drinking cure, featuring several drinking stands where mineral water is provided at a temperature of 72 °C.

Since 1879, the site has been home to the historic statue of Hygieia, the Greek goddess of health. The building functions as a prominent promenade and a primary location for spa treatments, protecting the main hot spring while providing a space for public use.

Beyond the main halls, the structure provides access to an underground excursion route. Guided tours of these subterranean areas provide information on the geology and history of the local thermal springs. The building is open to the public.
