The Voltaire Falls comprise a series of cascades on the Voltaire Creek within the Maroni river basin. As the largest waterfalls in French Guiana, the site features a total descent of approximately 55 meters and is characterized by natural water slides. The surrounding area is a protected nature reserve within the Amazonian forest, supporting a rich habitat of diverse flora and fauna.
Access to the falls involves a hike through the rainforest. A trail also connects the site to the nearby Inselberg Voltaire.
