The Zomai House, also referred to as the House of No Light, is a historical structure located along the Slave Route. It consists of a dark, windowless hut that functioned as a place of imprisonment during the slave trade era.
The primary purpose of the windowless design was to keep enslaved people in total darkness. This condition was intended to disorient captives and effectively prevent escape attempts. Individuals were held within the structure while waiting for the arrival of ships before being transported abroad.
