This neo-baroque structure is a prominent example of cast-iron and glass architecture, originally constructed between 1888 and 1889. Designed by architects Hans Miksch and Julian Feliks Niedzielski, the building is recognized as a national cultural monument and forms part of the region's UNESCO-recognized spa heritage. It is also historically referred to as the Colonnade of Maxime Gorki.
The interior of the promenade is decorated with unique ceiling frescoes created by artist Josef Vyleťal and features various bronze reliefs. The structure serves as a central hub for the local mineral springs and is situated in immediate proximity to the Singing Fountain and the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary.
The colonnade remains open to the public as a year-round destination. It functions as a primary landmark and the central point of the main spa promenade.
