Arion's Fountain

Completed in September 2002, this modern fountain was designed by sculptor Ivan Theimer and is based on plans dating back to the Thirty Years' War era. The structure features an oval basin containing three sculptural groups depicting the mythical Greek poet Arion with a dolphin, a turtle carrying a large plastic, and two figurines of a child on turtles. A separate bronze turtle stands adjacent to the fountain. Since 2005, the site has been an officially permitted public bathing spot and was recognized as the Water Management Construction of the Year in 2005.
