Admission
Free for children under 4 and specific card holders (ICOM, AMG). Family tickets include one dog. Disability car access on Wednesdays by arrangement.

Founded around 1250, this complex ranks among the largest castle ruins in the Czech Republic. It is a protected cultural monument that served as a significant defensive fortress under the long-term ownership of the Olomouc bishops (high-ranking clergy members). The site currently operates as a branch of the Beskydy Museum.
The extensive ruins include defensive walls and towers. A 450-hectare English-style park surrounds the castle grounds and provides a habitat for various wildlife. The site is open to the public and provides guided tours and views of the surrounding landscape.
As an event venue, the castle hosts a program of cultural events and exhibitions throughout the season.
