Mountain Hotel Schatzalp

This historic Art Nouveau hotel was originally constructed as a sanatorium between 1898 and 1900. Designed by architects Pfleghard and Haefeli, the building is a prominent example of Jugendstil architecture and is designated as a Cultural Heritage Site. It served as the primary inspiration for the setting of Thomas Mann's literary work, 'The Magic Mountain'.

Situated at an elevation of 1862 meters on a sun-exposed terrace, the property encompasses a 47-hectare hotel park. The interior features various event and seminar facilities, including conference rooms and multiple dining areas. Wellness facilities and skiing access are available on-site.
