Established in 1986, this private nature reserve is the first of its kind in the country. The grounds provide a wild habitat for a variety of reintroduced mammal species, including rhinos, giraffes, monkeys, and zebras. A restaurant is located on the premises, situated by a lake populated with crocodiles.
The site preserves cultural landmarks such as ancient Serer tumuli, which are traditional burial mounds belonging to the Serer people, an ethnic group native to the region. Numerous bird species also inhabit the protected environment.
Safari tours are available on the premises for observing the animals, which include small deer. The reserve is a common destination for families and travelers.
