Žďárské vrchy Protected Area

Established in 1970, this protected area covers approximately 709 square kilometers across a high highland region. The landscape is characterized by a balanced terrain consisting of extensive forests, hills, and distinctive rock formations. Significant natural features include valuable peat bogs and complex pond systems that contribute to the ecological diversity of the territory.

This region serves as a major watershed, containing the headwaters of numerous rivers.
