Established in 1953, this regional art institution is the fourth largest gallery in the Czech Republic. Since 2014, it has been housed in a reconstructed former municipal bath building, which is a designated Cultural Heritage Site. The gallery's extensive collections focus on European art from the 16th to the 21st centuries, featuring Dutch painting from the 16th–18th centuries as well as works by Czech, German, and Austrian masters from the 19th and 20th centuries.
The facility hosts temporary and interactive exhibitions alongside its permanent collections and contains a specialized art library. The gallery is open to the public, presenting fine arts within a unique architectural setting.
