Zinsou Foundation

Founded in 2005 by Marie-Cécile Zinsou, this private institution is dedicated to the promotion and appreciation of contemporary African art. It plays a central role in the development of the regional artistic scene, hosting a diverse program of exhibitions and curatorial projects. The foundation manages multiple exhibition spaces, including the LAB and the Musée d'art contemporain de Ouidah, and maintains an extensive collection of works from across the continent.

Beyond its exhibitions, the institution serves as a cultural resource center and is known for its advocacy regarding the restitution of cultural objects removed during the colonial era.

A significant portion of the mission focuses on arts education and community engagement. Specialized workshops and educational programs are organized for children and young audiences to explore global perspectives through artistic practice.
