Střmen is a medieval rock castle dating back to the mid-13th century. During the 14th and 15th centuries, the site functioned as a military observation point. The current remains are sparse, consisting of minor remnants of towers and ramparts integrated into the sandstone rock towers.

Access to the summit involves a demanding hike through unique rock formations and a climb up a steep staircase of approximately 300 steps. The top of the rock towers features a viewing platform providing panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
