The Parsenn Funicular is a two-section railway system that connects to the Weissfluhjoch ridge. Opened in 1931, it is recognized as one of the longest funicular lines in the country. The system provides essential infrastructure for the mountain region, reaching the Parsenn ski and hiking area.
This historical transport system served as a pioneer in the development of the regional ski industry. During the winter season, it supports access to 97 kilometers of slopes for skiing and snowboarding. In the summer months, the railway is used for hiking, mountain biking, and trail running.
The facility is bicycle accessible, accommodating mountain bikers heading to high-altitude trails. It operates as a year-round connection to high-alpine scenery and serves as a central hub for the mountain resort.
