The complex consists of preserved infantry and artillery bunkers connected by an extensive underground network of corridors, halls, and casemates. The site is a Special Area of Conservation and part of the Natura 2000 network, serving as a significant wintering ground for several species of bats. Access is available through guided tours, including specialized night tours illuminated by kerosene lamps.
