Zoological & Botanical Gardens

Established in 1871, this is the oldest public park of its kind, spanning six hectares. The facility serves as a green oasis that integrates a zoological garden and a botanical collection. It features a variety of landscaped areas and historical elements, including the Chinese War Memorial.

The zoological section focuses on mammals, birds, and reptiles, with a notable emphasis on primates. The collection includes orangutans, gibbons, and lemurs. Educational exhibitions and guided visits are offered, along with scheduled opportunities to meet zookeepers.

The botanical aspect of the park encompasses over 1,000 plant species, many of which are tropical. The grounds include themed gardens showcasing a wide range of flora within an urban setting. The park is open to the public for recreation and nature discovery.
