The Miroir d'eau is the world's largest reflecting pool, covering 3,450 square meters. Designed by architect Michel Corajoud and technician Jean-Max Llorca, the feature consists of a thin layer of water over granite slabs. It has been in operation since 2006 as a central element of the redeveloped Garonne quays.

The system alternates between a 2-centimeter-deep water mirror and a mist effect that reaches heights of up to 2 meters. This fog is produced by 900 injectors and is supported by an underground reservoir with a capacity of 800 cubic meters. The mist cycle typically operates every 15 minutes.

The surface provides reflections of the 18th-century classical architecture of the Place de la Bourse. As a public space, it is a popular spot for refreshment and relaxation, and it is noted as the most-photographed site in the Port of the Moon.
