This waterfall is fed by meltwater from the Ljosdalen area and is particularly powerful during warmer periods and the summer season. Access to the site is provided by a path beginning at the river, which includes stone stairs handcrafted by Sherpas from Nepal.

The steep hiking trail climbs through birch forests to reach a vantage point overlooking the valley and the fjord. The trail covers a distance of approximately one kilometer.
