Dating back to 1303, this fortified house was originally constructed as a wooden fortress before being transformed into its current stone form. Throughout its history, the site was held by various noble families before eventually coming under town ownership. Following a reconstruction in the 1960s, the building was adapted for social and cultural use.
The site is open to the public and functions as a cultural venue containing a museum, a library, and a ceremonial hall. Other facilities include a cafe and a wine cellar. The building is officially recognized as a Cultural Heritage Site.
